Muser

On May 1st Mr. Christophe Muser introduced his company "Muser Trading' and explained the terminus "licensing".introduction

He talked about the reasons why the Muser Company is targeting the Korean market. First of all, Koreans have high Internet usage and preference for French luxury brands. And Korea's duty-free market is the largest in the world, and unlike other countries, there are duty-free shops in downtown. In addition, since Korean products are also famous in neighboring countries such as China, Japan and Indonesia, they can introduce French luxury brands to other Asian countries by using the Korean market.
Muser Company serves as a link between Korean fashion companies and French luxury brand companies. The method explained the concept of licensing, imports, and reexportation. A licence means a contract to purchase the copyright of a brand company and to utilize its recognition. However, because they do not give licenses to their main products, Korean companies import them, sell them side by side with their products, and use their awareness. Reverse export means importing and selling goods produced under a license agreement from a Korean company back at the head office of the French brand.
Finally, he explained what Muser company did. They import French luxury brand products and sell them to Korean companies. This is called consignment sales. But this requires self-sufficiency as they can receive money after Korean companies sell their products to consumers. This problem can be solved by buying a finished product. This is to buy imported French products from a Korean company and pay them 30 days later even if they don't sold. They uses the distribution network, which provides full-entry services in Korea, and currently uses hotels and duty-free shops. Second, it runs a site called directo. The site is said to have collected products that were launched in a license for a French luxury brand. So, there is the advantage of solving the difficulties of language and payment methods that Korean people experience when they log on to their headquarters' homepages to see other French brand products. The site has been promoting itself by signing contracts that can be seen on NAVER.
